 Fraction teaching

Over the last thee days we hav been teaching, learning, and observing about fractions

People would teach as the observes watch and mark the score and then ask the learner's some questions like was it fun and enjoyable, what could the teacher's do better next time, and if it was way too easy or way too hard.

Here is a photo of me of observing

Why I would like to go on the Horouta Waka

 Dear Kokeia,

I would like to go on the waka because I reckon I will get some more knowledge of the sea and how to spot land.

I will be very helpful, I have been on some small waka before and I know some stuff about the sea. I'm a good coconut tree Climber so I can climb the mast to tie down ropes that come off in the storm and on new land I can climb the trees for food. I'm also a good builder as well so I can build more waka.

Please can I go.

 Maths Place Value Reflection Week

Thinking about my learning in place value the parts I’ve improved upon have been (which concepts - get them from the subheadings on the test) .  Give some examples eg I now know how many 10s are in a number eg there are 12 tens in 120.

The reasons for my improvement have been doing Mathletics and doing the workshops

These could have been Mathletics, watching videos from

the website, the workshops you attended or the Kahoots

you were part of.

The parts I really enjoyed were rounding these numbers to the nearest 10
